The project focuses on wound healing disorders associated with diabetes, pressure ulcers (decubitus), prolonged inflammation, and oxidative stress. In later phases of the project, the development and evaluation of novel therapeutic approaches for these chronic wound healing disorders will become the primary focus.

Brief description of the topic:
Autologous blood-derived products, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), are already widely used in several medical specialties. However, their regenerative potential has not yet been fully explored in general surgery and wound healing applications.
This research investigates how blood-derived biomaterials contribute to tissue regeneration following different types of tissue injury. We also aim to identify strategies to further enhance the regenerative capacity and therapeutic effectiveness of PRP/PRF-based treatments.

The study is based on an anonymous questionnaire that allows participants to report their feelings, difficulties, and the emotional burden associated with their work.
The responses will be evaluated in collaboration with a psychologist and an animal welfare specialist. Our aim is to identify factors that may influence the long-term psychological well-being and mental health of personnel working with laboratory animals. In addition, we seek to develop recommendations regarding opportunities for psychological support and improvements in the working environment. The study may contribute to the development of a more humane, supportive, and responsible research culture.
