Teaching sports cardiology is integrated into our new subject “Sports medicine” which is taught in the 5th year of our medicine programme. During the one week long period we aim to provide up-to-date and practical information concerning athletes’ cardiac health. We present the role of different diagnostic modalities’ role in the field of sports cardiology and highlight the most important diseases and conditions with special regards to sudden cardiac death and its prevention.
