On April 15, 2026, a successful professional day was held at the Semmelweis University Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy. The event focused on ELISA and cytotoxicity assays, which are essential in modern life science research, along with their associated detection technologies.
During the workshop, organized by the staff of Bio-Science Kft. (Zoltán Hegyi, Gábor Murányi, and Emese Sinkó), participants were introduced to the latest innovative solutions through informal professional discussions.
Key Topics and Demonstrated Technologies:
- Abcam SingleStep ELISA: A technology offering an efficient workflow of just 90 minutes.
- Promega Assay Solutions: Practical application of CellTiter-Glo, Caspase-Glo 3/7, and LDH-Glo cytotoxicity assays.
- Instrumental Detection: The workshop featured the Molecular Devices SpectraMax iD3 plate reader located at our department.
The “hands-on” demonstration provided researchers and students with the opportunity to gain direct experience in using new reagents and instruments, thereby enhancing the efficiency of future experimental work. We would like to thank all participants for their attendance and professional engagement!
