In 2014, the Pető András Faculty launched the Carpathian Basin Conductive Rehabilitation Project by the Hungarian Government. Over the past 9 years, we have successfully covered all Hungarian-inhabited territories beyond the borders, collaborating with 18 cities and local organizations. On the first Sunday of Advent, a joint celebration and charity concert took place in Odorheiu Secuiesc, organized by Ödön Mezei, a Baptist pastor, with the support of the Odorheiu Secuiesc Baptist Congregation, which provides a venue for pedagogical rehabilitation activities in the city and its surroundings. Although funding and opportunities come from the Hungarian Government, significant increases in the number of beneficiaries and the frequency of services can be achieved in cities where on-site support is available. In this city, the Baptist community, which provides a venue for conductive activities and maintains the infrastructure at its own expense, has been an outstanding partner. Employees and conductor students from the András Pető Faculty were also invited to the Advent event. The gathering was welcomed by the Deputy Mayor of the city, the Baptist congregation pastor, and the Dean of the Faculty.

In the Dean’s speech, gratitude was expressed to the local community organizations: the Odorheiu Secuiesc Baptist Congregation and the city administration, for embracing this noble cause, standing by us with full commitment, supporting our presence and work from the very beginning.

Following the festive speeches, the ceremonial program and the uplifting singing were performed by students from the Pető András Faculty conductor training program from Budapest and Illeni. It was an honored event to come together on the first Sunday of Advent, join the local community in candle lighting, and participate in a charity program.
