The “George Berci” Surgical Education and Research Laboratory of Semmelweis University plays an important role in the practical education and research of manual professions. The staff of the Department of Experimental Cardiology and Surgical Techniques are intensively involved in the educational, research, and innovation activities conducted here on large animals (pigs, sheep).
In the laboratory established in Herceghalom, large animal surgeries can be performed, equipped with the necessary open surgery tools on 4 operating tables and the most modern laparoscopic instruments.
