Our colleagues, led by Anikó Görbe, MD, PhD, and Zoltan Varga, MD, PhD, have attended the EU-METAHEART COST Action Meeting in Bratislava, Slovakia this week. It was great to meet colleagues and collaborators, and to exchange ideas and latest results in cardiovascular research!
Special congratulations are in order to Anand Ramalingam, PhD, for winning the Award for Best Poster with his research project “A Preclinical Platform for Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor-Induced Electrical Dysfunction.”
This visit has been part of a joint research project focusing on microRNA therapeutics development between Semmelweis University – Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy and Slovak Academy of Sciences. We are grateful for the support by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, helping move Central European academic cooperation forward, one project at a time.
