Our Institute’s colleagues received a prestigious state award at the MATE award ceremony, where they were awarded for their work in higher education for young people, building the future of Hungary. Prof. Dr. Klára Gyires, professor emerita, former director of our institute, and Dr. Zoltán Varga, associate professor and deputy scientific director, received the awards from Balázs Hankó, Minister responsible for Culture and Innovation.

Balázs Hankó, Minister responsible for Culture and Innovation, presented Dr. Zoltán Varga with the Szent-Györgyi Albert Award in Gödöllő. The Szent-Györgyi Albert Award recognizes outstanding educational, research and educational work in the field of higher education, as well as school-building, internationally recognized activities. Prof. Dr. Klára Gyires, professor emerita, received the Trefort Ágoston Award for outstanding educational activities in higher education over a longer period of time.
