The past few weeks have been filled with curiosity, inspiring conversations, and a generous dose of fun!
We had the privilege of representing Semmelweis University—together with colleagues from other departments—at this year’s Science Expo, organized by the Hungarian Innovation Agency.
It was truly fascinating to witness the spark of discovery in the eyes of young visitors as they explored our research. With every question, they delved deeper into the world of pharmacology, biotechnology, and bioinformatics—showing an impressive appetite for knowledge. Their curiosity knew no bounds: from how molecules interact and new compounds are created, to our latest microRNA-related studies, supported by the HU-RIZONT International Centre of Excellence for Research Collaboration.
We hope we had the chance to inspire many future students of Semmelweis University, and perhaps even some future researchers of our own Department. We’re
already looking forward to the 2026 Science Expo, where we’ll once again bring science out of the lab and into the hands of the next generation of explorers!
