158 PhD students were awarded doctorates at the Dies Academicus ceremony. At the ceremonial Senate meeting held in the Ceremonial Hall of NET, our department’s colleagues Kenan Aloss, Dávid Árpád Karádi MD, and Imre Vörös MD were also awarded doctorates.
The formal session continued with the presentation of honours and awards. For the 21st time, the University recognised the outstanding work of its doctoral students. This year, eleven were awarded the “Outstanding PhD Teacher” distinction, including Prof. Péter Ferdinandy, Director of our Department.
The Pro Educatione Award, established by the University Senate in 2023, aims to increase the financial and moral value of theoretical education, to further develop the career model of theoretical teachers, and to indirectly contribute to improving student performance and thus reducing the drop-out rate. The award is given every year to those who are involved in both Hungarian and international – English, German – theoretical teaching at the Faculty of General Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Pharmacy and who teach at least 7 hours per week. 3 of our colleagues received the Pro Educatione award: Mahmoud Al-Khrasani PharmD, Péter Kornél Király MD, and Pál Riba MD, associate professors.
We congratulate the newly inaugurated doctors and the recipients of the award and wish them success and good health in their future work.
