In pleasant running weather, 15 employees of our department set out to cover the 42.2 km distance alone, in pairs or in relays at the 39th SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival. Almost 30,000 people signed up for the biggest national celebration of exercise, and at least that many people gathered on the route running through the most beautiful parts of Budapest and in the festival area around the competition center to take part in the colorful programs and cheer on the runners, according to a press release from the Budapest Sports Office. Several of our employees completed the chosen distance setting individual time records. What is certain is that those who were there were all winners, as they overcame not only the kilometers, but also themselves and fatigue.
