Zoltán Varga, MD, PhD, the leader of Cardio-oncology research group got an invitation to present the work of his group at the 29th Kraków Conference on Endothelium. This conference is an annual affair of a scientific group working in the areas of vascular biology, inflammatory illnesses, and cardiology from Poland, Austria, and Hungary. The presentation of Zoltán and the posters of his PhD students gave a new perspective to the audience on the cardio-vascular system, heart failure, and possible therapeutic opportunities. Márton Kocsis, one of the PhD students won a first prize with his poster. This event was a great opportunity for the group to learn new techniques and to develop new partnerships (e.g. meet with other PhD students and Professors) and to fortify the ones they already have (like their collaborations with Austria and Poland).
