Dear EMSAi,
On the 4th of February we mark the World Cancer Day. On this special day we invite you to join us in the fight against cancer and help us raise awareness about this important non-communicable disease.
For this occasion the Public Health Pillar, the Medical Science Pillar in collaboration with FAMSA (Federation of African Medical Students’ Association) have prepared a few activities in order to mark this important day and make a bigger impact in our communities.
We encourage you to:

Change your facebook picture frame to show your support and spread awareness. (It will be available on facebook from 1st February)

Take part in the photo contest:
1. Choose a sign featuring one of the 19 ‘We can. I can.’ key messages, available from worldcancerday.org/materials
2. Take a photo of yourself holding the sign 3. Share your photo on social media and include #WorldCancerDay and #WeCanICan #EMSA #yourFMO in your post
- Submit an article related to the topic of cancer for the February issue of Euromeds Online (the call will be open from 26th January with subtopics specified)
