Learning Objectives During the Clinical Rotation
Each student completes 14 shifts, each lasting 12 hours, scheduled in advance. Shifts include both day and night rotations in the Emergency Department.
During the rotation, final-year medical students are expected to take an active role in patient care, under the continuous supervision of a physician or specialist. The main objective is to help students understand and apply the emergency medicine approach in real-life clinical situations.
Additional learning opportunities:
-
When possible, students may take part in the management of critically ill patients.
These cases are followed by structured debriefing sessions to support learning and reflection. -
Students with interest may also be allowed to observe invasive procedures, depending on the clinical setting.
