The aim of the Neurorehabilitation Master’s program is to train professionals who are capable of participating in both the practical implementation of health rehabilitation and research work in inpatient and outpatient neurorehabilitation care, as well as in the community-based care network and neurorehabilitation centers.

 
A graduated neurorehabilitation specialist is capable of translating the results of the latest scientific research into clinical practice, researching and adapting new examination and therapeutic methods for practical application, as well as providing professional leadership in non-medical fields within neurorehabilitation centers and other rehabilitation departments and outpatient clinics. Upon receiving their Master’s degree, they will also be prepared to continue their studies in doctoral programs.
 

The Neurorehabilitation Master’s program is composed of the following key areas:

  • Theoretical and clinical medical sciences
  • Health science rehabilitation expertise
  • Applied health sciences
  • Clinical research

The 4-semester Master’s program includes lectures and practical sessions in the first 3 semesters, while the final semester focuses on professional internships and thesis writing. The language of the program is Hungarian.

The minimum requirements for applying to the Master’s program are a bachelor’s degree (obtained in Hungary or accredited) in one of the following fields:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Conductive Education
  • Special Education (with a specialization in Speech Therapy and/or Somatopedagogy)
  • Social Work
  • Psychology
  • Speech and Language Therapy
