The Semmelweis University Choir, founded in 2022 and led by choirmaster Dr. László Matos, gave a charity concert in Székelyudvarhely as part of a study tour in Transylvania. The purpose was to collect donations to support the conductive education interval development carried out in the city and the implementation of the summer integration camp.

Since 2016, the András Pető Faculty has regularly organized development weeks for children and adults who primarily live with motor competence disorders as a result of central nervous system damage.

The projects are realized through the joint efforts of the city’s leadership and the pastor of the Baptist congregation, with the support of the Hungarian Government and Semmelweis University. The summer camp, held on multiple occasions, provides a one-week day-care program for both typically developing and motor-impaired children. This is an excellent opportunity for developing social competencies, learning and understanding the most important human values, and acquiring the possibilities of acceptance and providing assistance.

Approximately 100 children participate in the camp annually.
