The Graduation Ceremony is the ultimate moment in the life of every higher education student. At the András Pető Faculty of Semmelweis University this moment just happened yesterday!
In the Elméleti Tömb building of Semmelweis University, Dr. Andrea Dr. Tenk Miklósné Zsebe, Dean of András Pető Faculty and Dr. Éva Feketéné Szabó, Vice Rector of Strategy and Development welcomed the 79 final-year students to take part the graducation ceremony on the 29th of July.
In her opening speech the Vice Rector told the audience that being a conductor from “Pető” has special respect on the labour market both in Hungary and abroad. As one of the leading university in the world, Semmelweis University has a misson to distribute through their graduates that tremendous, high value and unique knowledge what conductive pedagogy and the Pethő-method represents.
Body and mind makes a person whole. If any of them requires more care, the other one needs it as well. The main task of your profession to teach people: the two parts together can overcome obstacles which the body or the mind could not do alone.
Dr. Andrea Dr. Tenk Miklósné Zsebe told the graduates in her welcoming speech that the dedication, commitment and faith in their profession will help them in every situation of life.
You were brave and assertive enough to choose a profession which has respect, honor and appreciation. Now you gave knowledge, faith and hope to the children and their parents for a better tomorrow!
The Dean also talked about the many developments both in education and infrasturcutre which happend during the last few years.
As students from Illyefalva also graduated this year Mr. Béla Kató, Bishop of the Calvinist Church of Transylvania also gave a speech. He emphasized the importance of the inner power and the call of the students, who make the decision to study for conductor.
Then the graduates received their diploma from the Dean and Vice Rector: 5 out of 37 recived a distinguished diploma with nursery school specialization, 1 out of 5 received a distinguished diploma from Illyefalva and 2 out of 37 received a distinguished diploma with primary school specialization.
The ceremony was closed with giving out some additional awards for extracurricular work and some ceremonial music from university students.
