About the course

The aim of the course is providing knowledge and support to the students in their everyday lab life. During the course the most important methods and the most important databases of bioinformatics are introduced; the relevant algorithms behind them; the applications implementing them; the use of them; their limitations and the proper interpretation of the results of these applications. The course is dominantly based on the publicly available bioinformatics web resources.
The course is made up of 13 classes (12 presentation and 1 practical, 2 credit). The classes are once per week over the term 90 minutes each presented by Dr Miklos Cserzo.
