The published practice and seminar materials are updated by the department staff every six months. The Department of Biochemistry offers undergraduate courses in Medical Chemistry and Medical Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology for an average of 720 first and second year undergraduate students per semester in Hungarian and English. A further 300 students are taught in English in Dentistry, Hungarian and English in Pharmacy and Bionics in Biochemistry. The staff of the department teach an average of 180 hours of practical training and 20 hours of lectures per week.
