The Department of Preclinical Dentistry at Semmelweis University is located in the Faculty of Dentistry’s Educational Center. The department’s mission is to enable students to practice the most important clinical procedures in Conservative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontology, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery using phantom heads and simulations, which they then apply in clinical practice. The department’s staff teach students various minimally invasive and micro-invasive techniques, as well as the basic rules of infection control within the framework of clinical practice. The semester concludes with an oral final exam.
