Tasks and Competences
In order to perform the tasks included in the current SZMSZ:
- makes proposals for the general research and development preferences and strategies of the University,
- formulates the general evaluation criteria for the scientific research field of the University,
- evaluates the scientific performance of the University on the basis of national and international standards,
- ensures the appropriate presentation of the scientific results obtained at the university and supervises the process,
- develops a strategy to enhance the research performance and the recognition of the University,
- delivers opinion on research projects, applications, and the use of university research funding sources,
- • assesses research applications, awards, and prizes which are to be evaluated at a university-level and which are announced by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation,
- prepares the international award of the university-founded Semmelweis Budapest Award, as well as the Ignác Semmelweis, Vilma Hugonnai, Tivadar Huzella, Ernő Jendrassik commemorating medals and prizes,
- prepares the award of the organization of the Semmelweis Symposium within its competence set forth in the Semmelweis Symposium Regulations,
- • also delivers opinion on all issues on which the Senate, the Rector and / or the Chancellor request a resolution.
