Our Metabolic Working Group has several research activities.
One of them is the classification of adult onset diabetes mellitus focusing specifically on the ketosis prone type 2 diabetes.
Since our Department is a centre for diabetic pregnancy and insulin pump therapy, we have internationally published studies in this field.
We have a special interest of cardiovascular risk assessment in patient having type 1 diabetes with early onset.
Our latest research project is producing mesenchymal stem cells and using them in the future in diabetes mellitus and its complications.
