The Gastroenterology Group is composed of 12 students, who are engaged in diverse projects at the intersection of pancreatic research (pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, exocrine insufficiency), radiology, and psychology. Some projects explore the link between cardiology and pancreatology, while others investigate colorectal tumors and the oncological outcomes of surgical interventions.

The group currently runs 24 active projects: 18 systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses, 4 registry analyses, and 3 prospective observational clinical studies.

Methodological guidance is provided by Mahmoud Obeidat, Anett Rancz, and Eszter Szalai, with Szilárd Váncsa serving as the main coordinator for meetings.

The students’ work is supported by 9 supervisors with expertise in gastroenterology, pancreatology, surgery, and radiology.
