On 26 May 2026, Semmelweis University welcomed senior representatives of the Jiangsu Tuspark Innovation Research Institute and Nanjing Nuoyuan Medical Devices Co., Ltd. The meeting, held in the newly inaugurated AICER building (Anatomy and Innovation Center for Education and Research), aimed to strengthen professional relations and explore potential areas of cooperation in healthcare innovation, technology transfer, and medical technology development.

The delegation was received on behalf of Semmelweis University by Eszter Kitti Jakab, Chief Executive Officer of Semmelweis Technology Transfer Center. (TTC), Dr. Tamás Hegedüs, Director for International Relations and Alumni Affairs, Levente Béla Vágó, Deputy Director, and their colleagues.

During the introductory presentations, representatives of Semmelweis University provided an overview of the institution’s international network, educational and research activities, as well as the strategic developments that have further strengthened the University’s international competitiveness and innovation capacity in recent years. They also presented the University’s integrated operating model, in which education, research, and patient care are closely interconnected and mutually reinforcing.

The Semmelweis Technology Transfer Center introduced the University’s innovation and technology transfer activities, as well as the innovation and collaboration infrastructure operating within the new building. The discussions also covered services and development opportunities that support the practical utilisation of research results and foster cooperation between the University and industry partners in the field of healthcare technologies.

Representatives of Nanjing Nuoyuan Medical Devices Co., Ltd. and the Jiangsu Tuspark Innovation Research Institute presented the activities of their organisations, with particular emphasis on medical technology development, innovation and incubation programmes, and their role in international technology transfer. As part of the TusPark innovation network affiliated with Tsinghua University, the Jiangsu Tuspark Innovation Research Institute is engaged in technology incubation, investment and development programmes, as well as the support of healthcare and biotechnology projects. Nanjing Nuoyuan Medical Devices Co., Ltd., meanwhile, focuses on the research, development, and manufacturing of medical devices, as well as oncological diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.

During the meeting, participants reviewed potential areas for future mutually beneficial cooperation. Discussions addressed, among other topics, medical technology development, technology transfer, and opportunities for the international commercialisation and application of research and innovation projects.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured the Anatomy & Innovation Center for Education and Research, where they gained insight into its educational and innovation facilities, as well as the environment in which modern medical technologies are applied and demonstrated.
