On the 29–30 March 2025. Semmelweis University hosted the X. Semmelweis Health Competiton; and this year the University also welcomed the EUniWell (European University for Well-Being) Student Board representatives in Budapest. The visit served not only as an opportunity for participation in the Health Competition but also for personal networking, laying the groundwork for future collaborations, and holding in-person meetings of the EUniWell Student Board.

Participants arrived in Budapest on Friday afternoon, and in the evening they gathered for a warm and friendly welcome dinner at Szatyor Bar, where they had the chance to connect informally with each other and with the local EUniWell team.

The professional part of the programme began on Saturday morning at 9:00 am with an introduction to the Semmelweis Health Competition and a discussion about the future of the EUniWell School Ambassador Programme, led by student representatives Federica Roldi and Dr. Máté Baka. Later in the morning, the group collaborated to design the activities for the dedicated EUniWell station featured in the competition. Just before lunch, they also held the first in-person Student Board meeting of the weekend.

In the afternoon, the team actively participated in the Health Competition, where visiting high school students had the opportunity to engage with the concept and members of EUniWell through playful and interactive activities.

The day concluded with a group dinner at Pompás Bistro, followed by a sightseeing boat tour at 21:00, offering stunning views of Budapest’s illuminated landmarks from the Danube.

On Sunday morning, the student representatives held their final meeting and departed with the hope that more in-person opportunities for collaboration and exchange will arise in the near future.

The EUniWell Student Board Meeting, held alongside the Semmelweis Health Competition, offered not only space for professional growth but also a truly enriching community experience for the international student representatives — once again proving that Semmelweis University is an ideal setting for international academic gatherings.
