On May 28, 2024, H.E. Margueritte F. NYAGAHURA, the Rwandan ambassador, made an introductory and informative visit to Semmelweis University. She was received by Dr. Marcel Pop, Director of International Relations at Semmelweis University.


Rwanda opened a new embassy in Budapest, which began its operations in January 2024. Rwanda is a developing country that has placed significant emphasis on the development of education, science, and medicine in recent years and is seeking European partners in these fields.

During the meeting, Dr. Marcel Pop presented Semmelweis University, with particular emphasis on the Pető András Faculty and conductive education, as the Ambassador has a significant educational background in child development and social issues. In addition, possible forms of cooperation were discussed, including student exchange programs, short-term programs, tailor-made offers, and full-time training.
