Dr. Gianmarco de Donato, Director of the Department of Vascular Surgery at the University of Siena received the certificate conferring upon him the title of visiting professor from Dr. Ágoston Szél, Rector of Semmelweis University. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. László Hunyady, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dr. György Wéber, Director of the Department of Surgical Research and Techniques.
Dr. Gianmarco de Donato, an internationally renowned researcher and vascular surgeon has had a professional relationship in the field of research and surgery with the Department of Surgical Research and Techniques for several years.
“In the beginning, Professor De Donato came to visit on my invitation. Since then he has regularly come to teach at the university, holding lectures for residents and medics as well.”, Dr. György Wéber said.
He is involved in recurring courses for medical students and advanced training courses for specialists.
“Even though the title visiting professor can be held only for a year, we truly count on Professor De Donato’s outstanding educational work in the future as well.”, Dr. György Wéber added.
