MTA’s Support for Mobility in Bilateral International Research Projects
The aim of the support is to assist 2-3 year international research projects implemented within the framework of the MTA’s bilateral cooperation agreements.
Eligible applicants: research institutes and research centers, with the „MTA Excellent Research Site” designation, as well as researchers employed by these research units, researchers employed by the research units of universities with the “MTA Excellent Research Site” designation, Researchers employed by companies with the “MTA Excellent Research Site” designation
Budget: a maximum of HUF 200,000 gross for travel expenses + a minimum daily allowance of HUF 10,000/day/person

Swiss-Hungarian Cooperation Programme – Support for Cooperation between Research Infrastructures
This call aims to strengthen RDI cooperation with international/Swiss researchers by involving research infrastructures, to increase the Hungarian participation in major international research infrastructure networks.
Under this call, applicants may submit proposals to the A, B and C sub-programmes:
- Sub-programme A: aims to support, through the use of the ESFRI research infrastructures of common interest identified in the Call and related developments, the joint research component element to be implemented by the Hungarian and Swiss nodes of the research infrastructure, primarily in the field of “Health and Food Sciences”
- Sub-programmes B and C: aim to support research participation in the field of social sciences
Eligible applicants: research and knowledge-dissemination organisations; state-recognised non-state higher education institutions
Budget: a minimum of HUF 100 million and a maximum of HUF 250 million

EACVI Research Grants
This call aims to provide an opportunity for specialised research in the field of non-invasive imaging modalities, in order to help doctors to achieve experience and skills in a high standard clinical centre or University with a large domain expertise within an ESC Member country other than their own.
Eligible applicants: medical graduates under 40 years old, at any stage in their career who are also members of the EACVI Silver level
Budget: EUR 30,000 for 1 year

HFA Research and Training Grants Programme
The HFA grants programme provides an opportunity for young heart failure investigators and clinicals to undertake specialised heart failure research or training outside their own country, in an ESC member country.
The grant aims to support recipients participating in or conducting research in a partner laboratory/clinical centre, and to study or learn new procedures, allowing candidates to gain new clinical skills or experience.
The project proposal must be prepared in collaboration with the proposed host centre, for a period of minimum three months.
Eligible applicants: an HFA member, or Fellow of the HFA under 45 years old, who holds an MD but have not yet obtained a post defined as ‘permanent’, ‘senior staff’ or ‘consultant’, and also hold a PhD, DPhil degree or equivalent, or have submitted a thesis before starting the research period relating to the grant
Budget: €2,500 per month with a maximum of €10,000 according to the length of the project
