The 2nd European Lymphatic Symposium 2027 (ELS2027) will bring together leading international scientists working at the forefront of lymphatic vascular research. The 2.5-day meeting will provide a focused forum for presenting new discoveries and fostering discussion among scientists studying the development, function, and disease-related roles of the lymphatic vasculature.
The invited speakers represent a broad range of expertise within the field. Sessions will highlight advances in lymphatic vessel development and endothelial cell biology, including the molecular regulation of lymphangiogenesis, vascular remodeling, and endothelial signaling. Additional presentations will focus on organ-specific lymphatic systems, exploring the roles of lymphatics in tissues such as the cardiovascular system, kidneys, skin, and other organs, as well as their contribution to tissue homeostasis and regeneration.
A major topic of the symposium will be the interaction between lymphatic vessels and the immune system, including lymphatic regulation of inflammation and immune cell trafficking. The program will also address lymphatic involvement in cancer and the tumor microenvironment, with discussions on tumor-associated lymphangiogenesis, lymphatic-mediated metastasis, and therapeutic targeting of lymphatic pathways. Complementary perspectives will include lymphatic metabolism, vascular signaling, and translational approaches aimed at understanding and treating lymphatic-related diseases.
In addition to invited lectures, the conference will feature 18 selected short talks and poster sessions, primarily delivered by early-career researchers. These presentations will provide young investigators with the opportunity to present their work and contribute actively to the scientific discussion.
In summary, the meeting will serve as a dynamic platform for presenting cutting-edge research and engaging in in-depth discussions that foster collaborations among scientists across vascular biology, immunology, regenerative medicine, and translational research.
