The Pesti Vigadó, inaugurated in 1865, has always been a central venue for social life.

It was the home of concerts by Strauss, Liszt, Erkel, Wagner, Bartók, Dohnányi, the first Hungarian exhibition organized by the Pesti Art Society, the first National Assembly of the People’s Parliament, the presentation of Bleriot’s XI aircraft, and the most popular balls of the time.

University citizens can purchase the discounted tickets/passes at the Pesti Vigadó ticket office (1051 Budapest Vigadó tér 2.) at a pre-arranged time by presenting the Semmelweis Card or a valid student ID. Four tickets for one event can be purchased at a discount with one ID.
