The former high school’s imposing 6,700-square-metre building has been transformed from classrooms and teachers’ rooms into rehearsal rooms and offices, workshops and showrooms, gyms into play areas, and the school canteen into a café and gallery. But what has remained unchanged is the nurturing of talent, the youthful atmosphere, and the creation of valuable experiences.
Today, more than 60 member organizations, including 25 registered performing arts organizations, numerous creative and visual arts groups, and other NGOs, work here every day.
The Jurányi is more than a Buda theatre, it is a creative base, where visitors can enjoy varied artistic, community and educational programs, in addition to a recurring repertoire of 400 productions a year.
