ACTION PLAN

We would like to continue the blocked training in dermatology in 3-week rotations. The first two weeks are frontal, followed by an examination week. The oral examination consists of a practical and theoretical part.

During the two weeks of training, we try to find the right balance between practical and theoretical training, so that the two are closely linked and complement each other. In addition, what makes it difficult to prepare for the exam is that many topics are only touched on tangentially and rare pathologies are not covered. To alleviate this, we hold two quiz classes where students can learn about pathologies they have not seen in person. We are also making significant efforts towards progress in modernization and digitalization, in the spirit of which we are enriching practical education by using tablets. This enhances the demonstration of the diversity of skin symptoms, making it more vivid and illustrative for students.

Our efforts are reflected in student feedback. On the one hand, we have been able to achieve a much higher number of students appreciating the teaching (17.39% in 22′ vs 43.36% in 23′).

In addition, thanks to our hard work, we are performing well above the faculty average in all parameters.

All of the above indicates to us that we are on the right track. But of course, it is too early to sit back complacently, as there is always room for further improvement.

We would like to add more manual training to the practical training, as well as more interactive exercises in the future.

We would like to focus on the theoretical part further so that students are equipped with differential diagnostic skills that can be used in everyday life and general medicine.

We would like to make the running of the blocks smoother and more organised. We also hope that the results of these efforts will be reflected in the feedback we receive from an even larger number of people in the future.
