SEMMELWEIS UNIVERSITY, HEART AND VASCULAR CENTER

Number of meta-analyses: 2

Project Description:

Peter Vámosi is a cardiology resident at the Heart and Vascular Centre and is interested in the technical aspects of cardiac electrophysiological studies. His first project is a meta-analysis on the potential benefits of ultrasound guidance during femoral venous puncture for electrophysiological interventions. As a second project, he aims to perform a randomized controlled trial on ultrasound guidance for femoral venous puncture and its complications. Both studies aim to decrease the major vascular complication rates. He also plans to perform a second meta-analysis on the effect of atrioventricular node ablation in heart failure patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy.
