The Gynecology–Urology Research Group is composed of 12 students and 15 supervisors working in the fields of gynecology, obstetrics, urology, andrology, plastic surgery, biostatistics, and physiotherapy. Their research portfolio is broad, covering topics such as oncoplastic breast surgery, penile and urothelial tumors, postpartum depression, physiotherapeutic techniques for pelvic pain, risk factors for congenital disorders, cervical insufficiency, and the vaginal microbiome.

To support the advancement of clinical practice, each student conducts systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses; in total, there are 21 such works within the group. Some students also take part in registry analyses and international questionnaire surveys. The group’s scientific-methodological leads (SMS) are Anett Rancz, Isabel Amorim, Mahmoud Obeidat, and Szilárd Váncsa.

The research group is led by Nándor Ács, President of the Hungarian Society of Gynecology, and Péter Nyirády, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Semmelweis University, and internationally recognized andrologist-urologist.
