The Gynecology–Urology Group focuses its research on gynecological and plastic surgical interventions, pregnancy complications, infertility, infectious diseases, and the prevention and treatment of gynecological-urological tumors.
The group is led by Nándor Ács, Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Semmelweis University, and Péter Nyirády, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
Professional support is provided by: Balázs Lintner, Zsolt Melczer, Levente Sára, Sándor Valent, Ferenc Bánhidy, Márton Keszthelyi, Attila Bokor, and Miklós Sipos (Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology); Tibor Szarvas and Gergely Bánfi (Department of Urology); as well as Zoltán Klárik (Department of Surgery, Transplantation, and Gastroenterology).
The research group consists of 14 PhD students – including 6 MD–PhD candidates and 8 specialist trainees in obstetrics-gynecology, urology, or surgery.
Scientific and methodological support is provided by junior SMS members Isabel Amorim and Lőrinc Frivaldszky, and senior SMS members Anett Rancz and Mahmoud Obeidat. Statistical analyses are assisted by biostatistician Mikolt Bakony.
