The Dermatology–Pediatrics Group focuses on two main medical fields. One branch centers its research on psychodermatology, the surgical treatment of skin diseases, new imaging modalities in dermato-oncology, modern biological therapies for chronic inflammatory skin diseases, and modulation of the microbiota. The other branch builds around pediatrics, exploring topics such as biomarkers in IgA vasculitis, biomarker research in children suffering from neonatal encephalopathy or neuroimmune/neuroinfectious disorders, the impact of psychotherapy on IBD patients, and the optimal nutrition of critically ill children.

The group is led by three experts: dermatologists András Bánvölgyi and Norbert Kiss (both assistant professors at the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Dermatooncology, Semmelweis University), and Csaba Lódi, Head of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Bókay Street Pediatric Center. The circle of specialists and supervisors includes: Péter Holló, Norbert Wikonkál, Kende Lőrincz, Lajos Kemény, Fanni Meznerics, Katalin Müller, Miklós Szabó, Magdalena Starcea, Zoltán Liptai, János Major, Zsuzsanna Varga, and Anett Ragó.
