2024/2025.

The University Sports Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the Csík Scholarship) is awarded to recognize students with outstanding sports achievements and students who organize sports activities. Students who, in addition to any academic requirements set out in the current scholarship announcement, regularly participate in the sports life of the University or promote these activities are eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded after an evaluation of student applications. Applications are invited by the Vice-Rector for Education.

  1. Eligibility criteria

–               active student status,

–               completion of the required credits in the last 2 active semesters,

–               submission of a completed Application Form in one of the two categories: A for top athletes and B for promoters of sports activities,

–               applicants for the “Good Student – Good Athlete” or “István Szívós Scholarship” are not eligible.

  1. Students eligible to apply
  2. a) for category A, top athlete 

are competitors in Olympic sports who compete at the highest national level of their sport – such as NBI/A in basketball,  The Extra League in volleyball,  NBI in handball,  NBI in football,  The National Team in athletics,  NBI in tennis,  NBI in table tennis,  NBI in ice hockey,  OBI in judo,  NBI in chess,  NBI in badminton,  NBI in futsal, etc. – or those who, in the case of individual sports, compete in world competitions or age-group competitions on a national level, or have placed 1–3 in the National Championship in their sport;

  1. b) for category B, promoter of sports activities

are those who volunteer to participate in the organization of sports life and sports activities for university students, in cooperation with a university department.

  1. The scholarship is awarded for one year at most, 

a maximum amount of 120,000 HUF per month for top athletes,

a maximum amount of 45,000 HUF per month for promoters of sports activities.

  1. Submission and evaluation

Application forms shall be submitted to the Physical Education and Sport Center

The Application is to be submitted in Neptun with the deadline between 12 p.m. 16. 09. 2024 –  27. 09. 2024.

Applications will be evaluated by a committee of 5 members, chaired by the Vice-Rector for General Affairs and including staff of the Physical Education and Sport Centre, observing the following criteria:

 

  1. Publication of the results

The results shall be published on the website of the Physical Education and Sport Centre and the University 15 days after the submission deadline.
