CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

For PhD Students – Financial Support for Participation in the Photon-Counting CT Academy – Autumn Intensive Doctoral Course

The Doctoral School of Semmelweis University, in cooperation with the Medical Imaging Centre, invites applications from PhD students of Semmelweis University who have active student status, are currently working as medical residents, and are conducting doctoral research related to photon-counting CT technology, for fully funded participation in the Photon-Counting CT Academy – Autumn Intensive Doctoral Course, an international scientific training programme to be held in Budapest, Hungary, from 4 to 7 November 2026.

Aim of the Call

The aim of this call is to provide PhD students conducting doctoral research related to photon-counting CT (PCCT) technology with an opportunity to deepen their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in advanced diagnostic imaging techniques, engage in international scientific exchange, and integrate the knowledge and expertise gained into their doctoral research and dissertations.

The international course includes lectures, interactive case discussions, hands-on training sessions, and live CT scanning demonstrations.

Form of Support

With the support of the Doctoral School of Semmelweis University, six PhD students will be granted free participation in the international course, which normally carries a registration fee of EUR 1,500 per participant.

The financial support covers the registration fee for participation in the full scientific programme of the course.
