The Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Candidates (DOSZ) is pleased to inform doctoral students, doctoral candidates, young researchers, and master’s students that DOSZ in cooperation with the University of Pécs is holding a multidisciplinary scientific conference labelled as the Trianon – Doctoral Student Conference Series, between 4th of November 2022.
The DOSZ announces the 2022 Trianon – Doctoral Student Conference series, in accordance with the doctoral student events of previous years, as a working language event in Hungarian and English. It is possible to present the research results in the form of a scientific oral presentation.
PhD students, young researchers and master’s students who are examining the effects of the Trianon Peace Treaty (e.g. economic, security and military policy, diplomatic, political, cultural, social, health, demographic, geopolitical) are welcome to apply for some events of the Trianon – Doctoral Student Conference Series within their scientific field, or they can draw parallels between their results in their own research topic and the already known or new aspects of the Trianon Peace Treaty.
Registration
Attendance at the conference is subject to pre-registration. The registration interface is available on the DOSZ website (https://dosz.hu/url/trianon_pecs). In order to facilitate communication during the registration process, applicants must provide their contact details. The information the applicants provide will be handled in accordance with DOSZ Data Privacy Policy. Registration first becomes effective with an abstract submission of a minimum of 1800 and a maximum of 3600 characters. The abstract is a summary of the applicant’s scientific work, in which the background of the research, the aim of the scientific research, the questioning, then the results achieved so far and further possibilities are briefly summarized, without references, according to the formal and content requirements of scientific writing. Five keywords that describe the topic are also required. The abstract can only be uploaded via the registration interface as an attachment to the registration. Please note that organizers do not accept applications submitted via e-mail or on other communicational channels.
Deadline for submissions and abstracts: 7 October 2022 11:59 pm
The Organizers undertake each abstract to a proofreading process with DOSZ Scientific Departments. Candidates will be notified electronically of the results by 16 October 2022.
Please note that abstracts cannot be accepted in the following cases:
– if it is uploaded after the application deadline,
– if the Applicant did not use the template provided by the Organisers at the application site,
– if it does not meet with the basis of scientific requirements.
Upon approval of the abstracts, the Applicant will be notified about the payment of the registration fee for the registration package of his choice. Please note, Organizers will not be able to refund the registration fee due to lack of attendance at the conference.
Planned scientific sections of the Conference:

• demographic,
• geopolitical,
• ethnopsychological.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reclassify lecturers between sections or to merge or divide each discipline section according to the number of applications.
Speaker awards
Awarding of winners per station and per section
1st place HUF 125,000; 2nd place HUF 75,000; 3rd place HUF 50,000 gross.
Conference Volume 2022
The scientific written extracts of the lectures delivered at the Conference will be published in the form of a peer-reviewed, ISBN-numbered online Conference Volume, whose professional and formal criteria will be provided by the organizers after the event.

Participation Fee Rates
A. Full Participation Fee*: HUF 10,000 per person (which includes: participation for the entire duration of the Conference, presentation opportunity (one scientific presentation), publication opportunities, lunch and coffee break service during the Conference)
B. Participation Fee with accommodation for active members of the DOSZ Scientific Departments registered until 15 September 2022*: HUF 8,000 per person (which includes: participation for the entire duration of the Conference, presentation opportunity (one scientific presentation), publication opportunities, lunch and coffee break service during the Conference)
C. Participation Fee for students of University of Pécs*: HUF 8,000 per (which includes: participation for the entire duration of the Conference, presentation opportunity (one scientific presentation), publication opportunities, lunch and coffee break service during the Conference).
* With the payment of the registration fee, the conference offers the possibility to give one scientific presentation.
Payment information will be sent to Applicants upon receipt of the abstract acceptance notice.
