The MR Research Centre was founded in 2005 by the Szentágothai János Knowledge Centre consortium of the Semmelweis University, the Faculty of Infromation technology of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Richter Gedeon Plc.
Our mission is to explore, expand and disseminate advanced magnetic resonance imaging knowledge and knowhow for clinical and basic research in Hungary while offering professional diagnostic imaging services.
Our main focus is Neuroradiology, i.e. the imaging of the the central nervous system, and Pediatric Radiology, with a wide set of methods such as functional MRI (fMRI), MR Spectroscopy, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) tractography, etc. Our centre is open for intra- and extramural research projects, charges are depending on the project proposal, and the type of cooperation.
