Years III–IV – the second phase of the doctoral programme
Students who have successfully passed the VI Progress Report (Complex Exam) may continue in the TM PhD programme. Under the minimum requirements set by the previous progress reports, every student must already have at least one manuscript submitted, and in most cases the second project should also be at an advanced stage.
Students are allocated to different progression groups:
- Graduate group – members may start writing their dissertation.
- Completed group – members may work on additional projects or begin writing their dissertation until both of their papers are officially accepted.
PhD defence
The PhD defence consists of two stages as follows.
- STAGE VII – institutional PhD defence (local institution)
- STAGE VIII – central PhD defence (CTM)
