Project Description:
Endre Gagyi is a newly-graduated medical doctor and he is participating in a 12-month research fellowship programme. His main are of interest is in gastroenterology and in surgical fields. He is currently working on a systematic review and meta-analysis, assessing the incidence of recurrent acute pancreatitis and chronic pancreatitis after an acute pancreatitis episode. His results could help in the early recognition of chronic pancreatitis, which can lead to the slow destruction of pancreatic tissue and cause pancreatic insufficiency. His additional goal is to conduct a registry analysis from the Gastrointestinal Bleeding Registry, in which he actively assures the data quality.
