Number of meta-analyses: 2
Project Description:
Orsolya is a full-time PhD student interested in spasticity management of cerebral palsy patients. Cerebral palsy is a group of permanent movement disorders that appear in early childhood. Her first project is a systematic review and meta-analysis on the functional benefits of upper limb botulinum toxin A injections. She will investigate if upper limb botox has better functional outcomes compared to less-invasive methods like different physiotherapies. Her second project will be a meta-analysis, also on a topic related to botulinum toxin injections in cerebral palsy patients. Botulinum toxin may improve quality of life in this group of patients.
