Overview
The Clinical Internship Program provides valuable insight into professional fields and patient care at different departments of Semmelweis University.
Students are divided into groups (a maximum of 5 persons each) and spend at least 2 days at certain clinical departments of Semmelweis University on a rotation basis for two weeks.
The daily schedule includes lectures, case discussions, bedside practices, visits to the core units of the department, and individual consultation opportunities, where specific questions of the participating students will be answered.
During the whole program, students will be guided by a dedicated expert of the given clinical departments.
The program is available for individuals and groups aswell.
Target Audience
Undergraduate and postgraduate students in medical and health sciences
Medical requirements
Complete blood count (CBC) + urine sample (not older than 3 months), Hepatitis B antibody titer + Hepatitis C antibody titer, Stool bacteriology (specifically for E.coli) (not older than 1 month), VDRL (Lues) Serology for Treponema Palladium (not older than 1 month), Chest X-ray (written report, not older than a year)
Good English communication skills (advanced or proficiency level)
Learning objectives of the course
- Getting familiar with departments, teaching hospitals and outpatient clinics in different professional fields
- Participation in the clinical practice modules of the English-language international training program
- Balanced ratio of practice and theory related to the specific field.

4. After receiving a confirmation from the program coordinator to participate in the selected course, you will be asked to pay the full course fee via the same bank account by the start of the course at the latest.
