Márton Ács, our biomedical engineering student, successfully defended his MSc thesis with excellent results on 26th of January 2026. His research topic was the development and optimisation of freeze-drying of budesonide-loaded liposomes for inhalation, with the supervision of Bálint Budavári and Angéla Jedlovszky-Hajdú as his consultant. His work covered the synthesis of new liposomal formulations based on our previous results, the identification of crucial freeze-drying parameters, and the characterisation of the final product using various methods, such as the cascade impactor, infrared spectroscopy, and dynamic light scattering.
