Pannonia Scholarship
The Pannonia Scholarship offers short- and long-term mobility opportunities for the students, professors and other employees of the university to study, research and lecture or do internships abroad within a supported framework. Mobility opportunities are available in nearly every country both inside and outside of Europe.
Student mobility can take place in any field of study and in any cycle, including doctoral studies.
The programme provides opportunities for educational mobility, study mobility, work placements, recent graduate mobility, conference participation and summer university.
Eligible applicants: students of the Semmelweis University
Budget: between 350.000-500.000 HUF according to the type of mobility

Fodor József Research Collaboration Scholarship
The aim of the scholarship programme is to provide excellence-based scholarships to PhD students and early-career researchers at the Semmelweis University in order to encourage successful research activity and high research performance.
Duration of funding: Short- and medium-term international collaborative partnerships for a period of minimum 3 months and maximum 6 months.
Eligible applicants:
- Scholarship-funded PhD students of the Doctoral Schools of Semmelweis University with active student status, enrolled in full-time doctoral training.
- Early-career researchers employed by organisational units of Semmelweis University in a teaching or research position, or in another employment relationship aimed at work performance, who obtained their PhD degree within the past 10 years and have independent results and an outstanding research programme.
Scholarship amount: HUF 600,000 per month

EKÖP Application 2026 – University Research Scholarship Program
The aim of EKÖP is to contribute to the strengthening of academic and research staff succession at universities and to making the research career path more attractive.
Eligible applicants: students in higher education, doctoral students, doctoral candidates, as well as young lecturers and researchers who meet the additional criteria specified in the call for applications
Funding amount:
- Bachelor’s programmes: HUF 125,000 / month
- Master’s and undivided programmes: HUF 150,000 / month
- Doctoral programmes: HUF 175,000 – 200,000 / month
- Doctoral candidates: HUF 225,000 / month
- Young lecturers and researchers: HUF 250,000 / month

Visegrad Fellowship Program
Visegrad Fellowships facilitate short-term individual mobility of scholars, lecturers, and researchers within V4 countries. Applicants are eligible to apply to work at host institutions in any V4 country other than those of their citizenship and of their residence at the time of applying. Any duly accredited public or private higher-education institution, public archive, or a public or private research and development institution may serve as a Host.
The fellowships are provided for a limited period ranging from 2 to 10 weeks.
Eligible applicants: full-time doctoral students or researchers/lecturers who hold a doctoral degree and are citizens of a V4 country or of Ukraine
Funding amount: EUR 500 per week
