The first lecture of the series, “Work in the UK” by Dr. Loucas Christodoulou (consultant pediatrician, NHS, Semmelweis Alumni), highlighted career opportunities in the United Kingdom.

In this lecture, Professor Diana Reser will present her professional journey and share valuable insights into working as as a female cardiac surgeon in Switzerland. Drawing on her extensive clinical experience in cardiac surgery, she will provide first-hand information on:
  • Professional requirements, training, and career progression in Switzerland
  • Clinical and academic career pathways and employment opportunities in the Swiss healthcare system

About Professor Diana Reser:
Professor Diana Reser, consultant cardiac surgeon, the first female Professor of Cardiac Surgery in Switzerland, and a 2010 Guinness World Record holder for her collection of heart-shaped motifs and items, shares her reflections in our alumni interview. She speaks about her experiences during her university years and the key milestones that have shaped her professional development and distinguished career.
