He is outstanding in his work to manage and solve the Centre’s IT issues. His excellent coordination ensures smooth day-to-day operations, while his technical support contributes significantly to the success of audiovisual communication and webinars. In March, Attila Márta was named Staff Member of the Month at the Centre for Translational Medicine.

Attila Márta started working at CTM in March 2019, when it was still based at the University of Pécs, and later he moved to Semmelweis University with the Centre. When he started working in Pécs, he first developed electronic forms on the ECDMS platform. “Making these forms was important because we needed them to build up the patient registers. As a member of the CTM communications team, I also managed the CTM website. Over time, I started to help organize the progress reports. The field of healthcare was close to me because I graduated as a healthcare manager with a BSc degree, and then I graduated with an MSc degree in this field as well. During my university studies, I gained a lot of knowledge. Our training was focused on being a bridge between doctors and IT specialists.”

After CTM moved to Budapest, Attila started working on online communication. „Currently, my main focus is on the website, but I also do internal communication. I am also involved in preparing and sending newsletters, and I cooperate with other departments of Semmelweis University for events. I am also preparing a webinar called Sip of Science with Prof. Zsolt Molnár biweekly. I also help CTM with equipment purchases, because I have knowledge of the equipment, such as screens and hubs that might be needed for webinars and other events.”

Attila manages CTM’s social media platforms and produces videos for the Centre. Vice Director Dóra Czapári is the closest to him in his work, but occasionally, Prof. Peter Hegyi contacts him directly with requests. What he likes most about his job is that no two days are ever the same and that he often has to tackle complex and challenging tasks. For example, when the Hungarian Pancreatic Study Group held an online conference during the pandemic, Attila was the one who had to manage it. It’s an outstanding achievement when he can solve complex tasks like this.
