My research focuses on the molecular mechanisms linking cellular stress responses, metabolism and aging in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. I investigate how the heat shock transcription factor HSF-1 regulates lipid mobilization and selects its target genes under different physiological conditions. Another major focus of my work is mapping the protein interaction network of the molecular chaperone HSP-90. By combining genetic, biochemical and molecular approaches, I aim to understand how these regulatory systems coordinate cellular maintenance and adaptation.
