OVERVIEW
The course covers the key principles of therapeutic decision making, risk assessment of compounding, quality assurance in clinical practice, individual, personalized (magistral) drug formulation, with a special aspect on therapy and patient safety.
It focusses on medication error prevention and handling of drug shortages. The course offers a mix of lectures, practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises. The majority of lectures will be delivered by Professor Romana Zelkó, Dr. Agnes Meszaros and Dr Adrienn Nochta-Kazsoki. Tutors will also be available to support participants during the exercise.
The course consist of 60 % theoretical part and 40 % practical part.
The course is designed for graduate and postgraduate pharmacy and health sciences students with basic knowledge of pharmaceutical technology and pharmacology.
Medical test and vaccination are required to attend the course.
Applicants are required to pay a registration fee before the course.
