OVERVIEW

The Orientation course in Health Care of Hungary and Europe offers excellent theoretical courses, site visits and cultural programs. It is a Professional Competence developing training.

The course provides valuable insight into the history of Hungary in Socio-Cultural aspect. The participants of the course will learn about the health issues in Hungary and about the health care services in Hungary , as well as about occupational and family healthcare practice. An introduction to clinical and field internship is the core of the course in speech theraphy, physiotherapy, nursing.

The entrants will aquire precious knowledge of  the social and cultural context of the health system. During the site visits participant will go to see the Military Hospital, the Semmelweis University Heart and Vascular Center, the Nursing Home of Disabled Children in Hungary and the Elderly Home of Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta. At Peto Institut participants will have the unique opportunity to observ the practice in conductive groups at different units of the Institute.

The course is composed of 50 % theoretical part and 50 % practical part.

Learning objectives of the course

Participants of the course will:

  • get familiarized with indicators of the health situation in a given community
  • obtaian multiporfessional attitude in their future profession
  • develop their professional English language capacity.
